So what kind of computer do you use? I know some people might have one of those super computers like alienware so I'd like to know me on the other hand use a regular comp that i got from best buy and got upgrades slowly along the way. Also had to buy a 300gb Extrernal hardrive for all the anime i have Prob is I filled it up and have to keep deleting old ones

I've always built my own systems.

Current specs on this machine, which is the same one used to do all the encoding and such for FoT:

Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2200+ (1.8GHz)
RAM: 1GB, but one stick is slow, so it all goes slow
Video: Nvidia GeForce FX 5900 Ultra
Audio: Nvidia Nforce
HDD Capacity: 140GB
DVD: Lite-On DVDRW SHM-165H6S + Litescribe
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2

I'm a "Mac Guy."

I run a Dual G4 1.25 MHz PowerPC, 1.0GB RAM, 80GB HD. It's good for what I do, and good for what most internet people use the internet for, sans gaming (which is just as well--I don't have time for it anymore ).

But its great for Photoshop and Movie Editing.

I've almost always built my own, aside from laptops. (I did have a couple of bargain Packard Bell and such systems, when my parents bought one for me, but beggars can't be choosers, and it was over 10 years ago anyway)

My current desktop is an Athlon 64 x2 4200, 2GB of ram, GeForce 7800 GS AGP, 360GB hard drive. I had a major upgrade back in September. Back then I was using an AthlonXP 2100+, 2GB of ram, GeForce 3 Ti 200, 120GB hard drive (80 to windows, 40 to linux). I was trying to throw together a system for AWA, and wound up getting a new mobo and processor because what I had lying around was acting flakey. The intention was to move the new hardware into my desktop after AWA, but I wound up having to do so BEFORE the con, as the new board wouldn't fit in the only case I had available, and it was the sunday before the con.
